We have noticed that some of our children are regularly arriving late for school. It is important that our children arrive on time for school at or before 8:55am. A child coming into school late means they are missing out on learning: if a child arrives just 5 minutes late every day over the academic year, he/she will miss 3 days of school per year; if they arrive 10 minutes late for school every day, he/she will miss over 6 days of school per year, and so on. Arriving late can be disruptive for the rest of the class and for the teacher and it can be embarrassing for the child entering the classroom.
Whilst we acknowledge that children can occasionally be late, we would be grateful if parents could ensure that their child arrives on time for school as much as is possible. Any parents whose child arrives late regularly after 8:55am will be informed of the school’s concerns by letter after half term. Thank you for your anticipated co-operation.
