SAT’s

Our Year 6 children will be taking their SAT’s tests during week commencing 9th May. 

The test timetable for the week is as follows:

• Monday 9th May – Reading
• Tuesday 10th May – Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling papers 1 & 2
• Wednesday 11th May – Maths paper 1 (arithmetic) & paper 2 (reasoning)
• Thursday 12th May – Maths paper 3 (reasoning)

Our Year 2 children will also be taking their SAT’s tests during the month of May. These results will be used to inform teacher assessments for each child.

Our Year 1 children will have their phonics checks to assess their knowledge and understanding of sounds during week commencing 13th June. The checks will be carried out on a one-to-one basis by their class teacher.

Naturally, the children, parents and the school will want every child to perform as well as possible during the tests.

In order to do this, it is crucial that the children are in school as much as possible prior to the tests to help give them the best possible preparation. All tests and checks are statutory and will be carried out by our class teachers.

Any results and/ or teacher assessments will be communicated to parents along with their child’s end-of-year report.
